Welcome! And thanks so much for checking out my blog! I’m hopeful my site brings some value into your day! I’m a ‘wholistic’ health enthusiast and CBD educator and have always had a passion for healthy eating and living. At 65, I’m healthy, active, and believe I must be doing something right! 

Over the years, I’ve gradually transitioned my dietary choices from the standard American diet (SAD) to a whole food plant-based diet. I’ve been overweight, had chronic health challenges like fatigue, IBS, stomach pains, hair loss, foot, and leg cramps, eczema, and a thyroid disorder. When I changed my eating habits to a whole food, plant-based diet, I not only began to lose weight and feel better but almost every other health complaint I had literally disappeared, even my arthritis! For me that was amazing! My skin began to improved, my leg cramps went away, my IBS is no more, and I have more energy at 65 than I did at 30!  I easily expect to live beyond 100!

ShareHealthyInfo was created as a result of my passion: whole, organic plant-based food, fitness, a clean, pure living, and a healthy lifestyle. This blog is a result of many years of studying nutrition and researching on how to improve my own health, and my husband’s as well. You see, he has multiple health challenges, and was taking lots of prescriptions that came with many side affects. In 2014, he had a triple coronary bypass surgery, and almost lost him! That was a scary time for both of us. In 2016, he was diagnosed with rectal cancer. A large tumor was found almost blocking his colon.  It was either surgery or radiation. He didn’t want surgery, because there was no guarantee they could get it all out. Instead, he did the chemo and radiation treatments. After one week on the chemo (oral medication, not ported), it made him sick, causing his hands and feet to go numb. He stopped the chemo and we worked diligently to get him to take more natural treatments, like herbs, supplements, whole raw foods, and herbal teas. The radiation treatments shrunk the tumor and after 2 years, he’s been cancer free. (Knock-knock on wood). 

In this blog, you’ll find articles offering healthy tips, recipe suggestions, fitness suggestions, whole food, plant-based lifestyle recommendations, and simple plant-based recipes requiring minimal ingredients, and quick to prepare. 

I’m also an entrepreneur and have owned and operated several businesses in my life.  I’m very excited about the CBD industry and how it has helped so many people overcome chronic health challenges and do away with their prescription medications. I write about CBD Oil because it has helped my husband and myself get better, sleep better, and eliminated many various health challenges. I share with anyone I talk to about how CBD oil truly does help everyone in need of relief from chronic health issues.  Learn more about CBD oil here.

If you’re sitting on the fence, trying to decide if you should change or at least modify your diet, then get off that fence and make the switch! Don’t wait until life throws you a curve ball causing chronic health problems from a lifetime of poor eating habits! Trust me, I know. My husband had heart surgery in 2014, rectal cancer in 2016, and struggles with Asthma and COPD issues. He was always the meat-eater in our family, and for years I would nag on him about his food choices (only because I love him!!). Since 2014, he’s made a lot of changes in his diet and is in the process of losing weight as well. 

The purpose of my blog is to point you in the right direction and provide you with suggestions to help you improve your own health, eliminate chronic health challenges, plus information to help you lose weight if that is your goal.

I’ve personally overcome many various health challenges as mentioned above. Today, I’m healthy, full of energy, love to exercise, be outside in the sunshine and hang out with my family and friends, and my dogs. I recently retired after being a Computer Tech and Software IT for almost 30 years and am now pursuing my passion, sharing my story with anyone who will listen, in the hope that it will help them get on the right road to healing and optimum health.

There is a wealth of information available on the internet, along with a multitude of diets out there: Paleo, Keto, Vegan/Vegetarian, HCLFV, Hormone Reset, and many many more. It can be very confusing, which is the correct diet/lifestyle for you? I am not here to tell you that, only to inspire you to do your own research, and find out what works best for you. 

It all starts with what you put into your mouth: that has been my primary focus. Every bite of food should be healthy, nutritious, ideally organic, and assists in recharging your body to provide the necessary nutrients to fire up your energy enabling you to thrive each and every day. Many people who eat whatever is in front of them, don’t realize that there are dire consequences to poor eating habits and can take many years to manifest into health challenges and chronic disease. Do yourself a favor and start now before it’s too late, or if needed, you can reverse any health issues you may currently be experiencing.
